I knew that the metal/hard rock scene was changing when White Zombie's "Thunder Kiss '65" and "Black Sunshine" were embraced by MTV's Headbanger's Ball in 1992.  This was the 'new sound' of metal and traditional bands like Judas Priest, Metal Church, Armored Saint, and Iron Maiden where ignored.  "More Human Than Human" and solo track "Dragula" were even more processed/techno/industrial (for the lack of better words) than the previous hits.  Initially, I didn't like the music of White Zombie or Rob Zombie, but as the years have gone on, I see Rob Zombie as a modern day Alice Cooper.  While much of his material has the same rhythmic groove and his use of "Yeah" in his lyrics is repetitive, Rob knows how to give the people a performance and he realizes that having an image is part of what rock n' roll is all about.

The Bloody Truth:  This best of collection is only twelve tracks long but it does contain Zombie's better known songs, so from that respect it's a success.  Like other 'best of' compilations, this is recommended for the casual fan rather than anyone who has purchased Zombie's studio recordings.  "Thunder Kiss '65," "Black Sunshine," "Dragula," and "More Human Than Human" are the standout tracks for sure, but the package is enjoyable overall.
