If you think that there aren't any new guitar masters following in the footsteps of Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Alan Holdsworth, and Al Dimeola, you're wrong.  Apparently, Lion Music knows where to dig up fret burning lead players, because their roster is filled with them.  Joop Wolters is just one of the talented guitarists that Lion is sharing with the world.

Speed, Traffic and Guitar Accidents is the followup to Joop's 2003 release, Workshop.  This 17-song release is a technical assault on the senses, mixing progressive and jazz/fusion stylings throughout.  If you want to hear some true talent, Joop's your man.  The cd has a good mixture of emotions and tempos, so while it will probably appeal to guitar aficionados most of all, there's enough melody to attract fans of song oriented instrumental and progressive music as well.

The Bloody Truth:  Joop Wolters can shred with the best of them.  He's also conscious of creating emotion in all of his pieces, which he does quite well.  Speed, Traffic and Guitar Accidents presents an eclectic mix of progressive/jazz/fusion/ rock guitar, and any fan of the six-string (especially guitarists that shred) should give this one a listen.
