Wow, this band knows that they suck and they freely admit it in the title of their cd.  Yes, boys and girls...Welcome To The Suck...sucks...big time!  Sure, punk has never bred super talented musicians, but The Sex Pistols were the Beethoven of punk compared to the The Rezidudes.  I know The Rezidudes aren't aiming to be good musicians, but c'mon these guys can't even write their own crappy songs.  Instead, they've decided to ruin other band's songs - twenty of them to be exact.  How they got the clearance to cover these songs I'll never know.  Surely the people that hold the rights to "California Dreamin'" (The Mamas and The Papas), "Brown Eyed Girl" (Van Morrison), "Tainted Love" (Soft Cell), "Come Dancing" (The Kinks), "Paint It Black" (The Rolling Stones), and "Ace Of Spades" (Motorhead) had no idea that the result would be this bad.  If they had, they certainly would have denied the band's request.

The Bloody Truth:  I consider "867-5309/Jenny" to be sacred (not really).  How dare The Rezidudes ruin Tommy Tutone's legacy with their cover.  Seriously, though, the record label must have needed  a tax write-off.  That's the only logical reason for giving The Rezidudes a record deal.  I recommend Welcome To The Suck to anyone who likes to hear bad cover versions of old hit songs or to sucky musicians that want to feel better about their suckiness by listening to other sucky musicians that managed to get a record released.
