Oh Lord, here we go again - a band that likes to mix musical styles to arrive at an unlistenable sound.  In the case of New Jersey's Divinity Destroyed what we get is a mix of progressive metal, some ambient music, and my favorite, death metal.  Oh joy.  I'm not sure why someone would find a combination of clean vocals and 'coughing up a lung' vocals appealing, but this is a very popular style in today's heavy music landscape, and it's exactly what Divinity Destroyed employs here.

The Bloody Truth: In my opinion, this is the stuff that has ruined the metal genre.  It's not fun, it's not anthemic, and it really is amazing to me that people can get into this mixture of vocal styles.  Nevertheless, Eden In Ashes will probably satisfy fans of similar drivel. For me, I'm going to go back and listen to my Metal Church and Vicious Rumors cd's and make believe stuff like this doesn't exist.
