Formed in Portland, Oregon in 1989, Dirty Rhythm was another casualty to poor record company management and the depressing 90's grunge scene.  With a fun Sunset Strip sound, the band's 1991 debut, Hard As A Rock, was produced by Loverboy guitarist Paul Dean.  Never Cleaned Up is a new release that contains six of the band's unreleased songs from the early 90s and a video for "Feel The Fire," the opening track from Hard As A Rock.

While the cd is clearly a bit on the short side, it's great to see a label like Suncity Records dig up this material.  Fans of Heaven's Edge, Baton Rouge, and bands similar in style will love Dirty Rhythm and wonder how they got lost in the shuffle.

The Bloody Truth: If you are looking for straight-ahead high-energy rock, Dirty Rhythm will satisfy your thirst.  With a slightly sleazy edge, these guys delivered some well constructed late 80s hard rock with plenty of hooks, toe-tappin' rhythms, and fret-burning leads.
